How to change a glueleather tip
|
|
You must have the following items: leather, glue,
razor blade and sandpaper. Go through the following
procedure step-by-step:
| |
1. |
Cut away the old
leather with the razor blade - see to that everything is
gone so you can see the white ferrule.
|
| |
2. |
Use the
sandpaper and grind the last piece of leather and old
glue away. |
| |
3. |
Apply a little glue on the ferrule and the leather.
|
| |
4. |
Gently place the
glue leather on the ferrule - make sure that they are
placed exactly above each other.
Press the parts against each other for 60 seconds.
|
|
5. |
Leave the
cue/shaft in vertical position untill the next day, to
allow the glue to dry perfectly. Then grind the ferrule and
leather with sandpaper to take away surplus glue. |
