How to maintain your billiardcue

Regular maintenanee will proteet the investment you've made in a quality cue. Not only will it extend the
life of the cue and enhance its beauty, but it will improve your stroke.

Storage of the cue
Whether your cue consists of one or two pieces, it's almost certainly made of wood. If not handled properly, wood will warp. Never leave a cue unsupported, such as leaning against a wall, for an extended period of
time. Always store your cue in a rack or in a case when not in play.

Cleaning the shaft
The shaft of your cue may develop a sticky buildup over time. Always handle your cue with clean hands.
After play, wipe down your cue with a soft cotton cloth. Smoothers and burnishers are the most effective method of cue care.

We recommend the Q-serie for shaft maintenance.
Q-Smooth is used for smoothing and burnishing the shaft. Each packet of Q Smooth includes 14 fingertip slips of technically-advanced micro-fine ceramic beads firmly bonded on quality 3 mil polyester film: 2 white (medium-fine) slips, used for smoothing rough or hardwood shafts; 4 blue (fine) slips, used for smoothing normal cue shafts; 4 green (very fine) slips for burnishing the shaft; and 4 yellow (micro-fine) slips for giving your shaft its final polish. Q Smooth will not scratch or damage cue shafts.

Q-Clean is used for cleaning the shaft and ferrule. Q Clean eliminates drag due to sticky dirt and oils on
the shaft surface and in the pores. Even the toughest stains, such as those annoying green specks, are
removed from your cue. Q Clean is safe and effective on fine-quality custom wood shafts and all ferrule materials.

Q-Slick is used for sealing the wood pores. It seals wood pores from moisture, hand oils, and dirt. Q Slick revitalizes and preserves wood shafts, giving your pool cue shaft that smooth bare wood feel for a more controlled stroke. Fiberglass and graphite cues are also effectively sealed with Q Slick.
